Moon Landing

Do you ever feel like there's more life and civilization in the universe. Were you proud when man went to the moon?Well i do.I am fascinated by extraterrestrial things and i know you are too so I'll show you the video when Niel Armstrong went to the moon.

Info About The Moon Landing

A race was on to put a man on the moon. President Kennedy had challenged the nation. It was the mission of Apollo 11 to land three men on the moon, then return them safely to Earth. On July 16, 1969, the Apollo 11 launched from the Kennedy Space Center. It was one of the most historic events. It demonstrated what man can do with effort.

Commander Neil Armstrong became the first man on the moon. He said the historic words, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."

Solar System

The word "solar" refers to the sun; the sun is one of the 150 billion stars of the Milky Way. It moves through space taking with it a larger family of objects. The whole group is called the solar system.

The sun is the center of the solar system. The Sun is the largest and the most important members are the nine known planets and their moons, along with smaller objects called comets, asteroids, and meteoroids that orbit the sun.  Many scientists believe that our Solar System is over 4.6 billion years old.

Scientists believe that the solar system was formed when a cloud of gas and dust in space was disturbed, may be by the explosion of a nearby star called SUPERNOVA. This explosion made waves in space that squeezed the cloud of gas and dust. Squeezing made the cloud start to collapse, as gravity pulled the gas and dust together, forming a solar nebula. The sun's nuclear fires ignited at the dense center of this nebula. The planets were born in the swirling currents of the great cloud. The planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, evolved as globes of rock that are present near the Sun. They were too small and their gravitational fields too weak to capture. However, far from the sun, the massive planets Jupiter and Saturn, with powerful gravitational fields, did attract and hold thick gaseous atmospheres of Hydrogen and Helium.

The Black Hole

A black hole is defined by the escape velocity that would have to be attained to escape from the gravitational pull exerted upon an object. For example, the escape velocity of earth is equal to 11 km/s. Anything that wants to escape earth's gravitational pull must go at least 11 km/s, no matter what the thing is — a rocket ship or a baseball. The escape velocity of an object depends on how compact it is; that is, the ratio of its mass to radius. A black hole is an object so compact that, within a certain distance of it, even the speed of light is not fast enough to escape.

Earth

Earth formed 4.54 billion years ago, and life appeared on its surface within one billion years. The planet is home to millions of species, including humans.Earth is the only planet in the Solar System to have water in its three states of matter: as a solid (ice), a liquid (sea, rain, etc.) and as a gas (clouds). These are all shown below. Water is, of course, the most important liquid for life.Earth is almost five billion years old, although life (resembling life as we know it) has only existed on the planet for the last 150 million to 200 million years. This means that life has only been present on Earth for only 5%-10% of its lifetime.Earth is the only planet in the Solar System known to be geologically active, with Earthquakes and volcanoes forming the landscape, replenishing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and erasing impact craters from meteors.
